Splendor Poem by Lynn W. Petty

Splendor

Rating: 5.0

Its leafy splendor
Spreads, cathedral-like, its dome.
I sit in worship,
Steeped in the Spirit of One,
Soul-bound to this old oak tree.

oops! read it already. well, no great harm done; it is SO short word-wise anyway. i wonder if you are speaking of a tree with which you have had a real experience. bri :)

as you use a hyphen for Soul-bound, i think i'd also use a hyphen for cathedral-like. what say you? ? ? my relationships with trees have not been so......................emotional. but trees are great and great big oak trees are exceptional! bri :) danke for tanka
