Splinters Getting Under Our Skin

Rating: 5.0

what we know
about ourselves
serves us well

to know ourselves
a little even a little

is the absolute beginning
of our life soul knowledge

as we begin to know ourselves
we begin to know soul torn others

to know our fatal flaws weaknesses
our errors faults base transgressions

to live with such transgressions
is a hard lesson to absorb learn

so often what we dislike hate in others
we despise recognize in ourselves also

Is this not one of our pierced
main reasons for internal conflict?

Should we not remove first
the weighted rafter in our own eye?

Before the tiny tiny splinter
in our neighbour’s smiling eye?
