Spoken Words Of Love Poem by Rhianna McElhinney

Spoken Words Of Love

He placed a hand on my hair,
An action which leaves me bare,
All my love I leave him there,
I play him a song...
My fingers dance along white keys,
A tune that brings him to his knees,
The melody that does so please,
He writes me a poem...
Lines upon lines of love he spills,
Rhymes upon rhymes that gives me chills,
The twists and turns to full of thrills,
I hold him in my arms...
With these physical moments our love is born,
With paper and pen our love we adorn,
But what is paper when it is torn,
He confesses to me his love...
In that moment we lay bare,
All my love I leave him there,
As he places a hand upon my hair,
Our hearts we have just surrendered.
