Sprawling Out Poem by Jose' Antonio Orellana Artolozaga

Sprawling Out

Rating: 5.0

Sprawling out—
Rain slowly drifted
Its catharsis dog's straying off
Wringing shakes and the
Sun toggled on its shine o'er
Gloom's fading clouds
Evanescing to shadows
Yielding concrete walkways
Smelling honeysuckle fresh, wet and
Just cut grass
She'd give me her Mtn Dew smile
And I felt sweet all over
Gulping down the zero calorie,
Zero-carb how-do-you-do smooching puss....
She liked doing things like that,
And I'd question
Why someone was so bent
On being unquestionably independent
Seeing how I was afforded this kind of
Little love you so
She was the girl helped make the
Subtle transitions abounding
About from seven to twenty seven
When God bless her soul she
Moved on to the room of my disbelieves
Where through the softness of her step
I pioneered the mystic rain forest
Adventurers can only dream of
In the land of Alicia, land of wonder
I would come to measure all other
Feminine landscapes by
Yes, via her lips I morphed
And the lithesome breathing of those breasts
Cultured me in the sophistications by which
Heartbeats traversed full journeys
I explored to the very center of the universe
And in the crux of these matters
Things unfolded butterfly-like wings
When paradise opened its portico to me
