Springtime Poem by Daniel Fivelsdal Wetaas

Springtime

You feel the ice starts melting
The buds; between the cracks
Flowers that are yet to bloom
Yet a smile to let you relax

And from it all, more life
The end of hibernation
A dawn of new adventures
At last - no more stagnation

The colors all returning
And faces every mile
You think back to the winter
Did spring bloom from a smile?

The month is still September
Yet this springtime, clear as day
Your heart no longer frozen
This bud won't go away
And past you; One more winter trudges
You look up, smile; a bud plant ray
