SPY Poem by Ed Leeflang

SPY

The silent reader, is he not
the one who wants to live in you
can enter you
empties the drawers while you sleep
who looks over your shoulder, quietly,
covers his face
at your too solemn words
who wants your love cooled down
your fear of death more balanced
your images more vague or weirder
the drama more implied,
a caring holy ghost
who is after your life?
