When milky sea was churned by Devathas
And Asuras, there came a brilliant light
Of thousand Suns to everyone's applaus
As rose Lakshmi the Ma, who's crystal white.
Her eyes were lotus petals, broad and wide,
Spilling a cool glitter of Moon in bloom.
In hands she held large lotus flowers pied
And flanked by mammoths huge, expelling gloom.
O Goddess great of wealth and luxury
you made the Lotus flower as your throne,
And Lord Vishnu, as spouse with humble glee
And ruling Universe the whole as own.
I pray to you O Ma, raze down the poverty
From the world and let us live with prosperity.
