Stagnant Poem by Jackie Chou

Stagnant

You're seventy-percent
dihydrogen monoxide.

Dark and stinking
of the alleyways,
like day-old rain puddles.

I'm sinking,
my boat paper-thin
& without oars.

The seagull in me
still dreaming of wings
to save itself.
