Stalker Poem by Andrew Dabar

Stalker

SO WHAT if I love you?
What if I do?
And nobody knows it
Not even you?
What harm is there in that
Yearning private?
If I covet, keep it
Secret, quiet?
Avoiding the gallows
Watch from shadows
Of a dark forest wood
Under the hood
Of a cloak, in disguise
Hiding my eyes
And a blood-rushing thrill
Utterly still
As into a clearing
You are nearing
Closer to where I stand
I'll grab your hand!
Come to me, come to me
No one will see
