Stallion Of War Poem by Pete Rivera

Stallion Of War

Rating: 5.0

Make your temples grand
If you wish to see
The glimmers of the moonlight
Reflecting off the sea
Maybe it won't go as I planned
And maybe your actions
Will make you less than a man

Call upon your horse
And he shall come
This stallion of war
And all that you've won

Now throw your armor on
And I'll give you my shield
Hand-in-hand
We'll own this battlefield
Maybe one day we'll meet again
And maybe I'll discover
That we were never friends

So call upon your horse
And he shall come
This stallion of war
And all that you've won
So call upon your horse
And he shall come
This stallion of war
And all that you've won

In the end of time
Our paths will cross
And the demons of this earth
Will be at a loss
For no good such as this
Can ever show
Just how much we truly
Did not know

So call upon your horse
And he shall come
This stallion of war
And all that you've won
You'll saddle him up
And ride away
Into the mellow light
Of breaking day

To be or not to be
This is what I ask
I hide behind my mask
And from everyone I see
Now go for a family
And make them proud
Hear their voices now
And you'll make smile
Everyone you meet

So call upon your horse
And he shall come
This stallion of war
And all that you've won
You'll saddle him up
And ride away
Into the mellow light
Of breaking day
