Star Seized Poem by James Darwin Smith II

Star Seized

Seizing the foreseeable visions

Of a vast luminous star

Puts newfound faith within my soul

Bringing solace to these thoughts of mine

As this heart is ready to go, further

As I search for the brightest of lights

I worry upon my arrival it will burnout

The past and all the incomplete journeys

Bring upon worry within these bomb sheltered dreams

Crying within the dreamless night

Freezing temperatures of lacking current mobility

Wanting to move so far forward in this very life

Beyond the small space for which I am stuck

Within the confines of its lackadaisical chaos

Am I too much?

Am I too little?

My words at times, inconsistent

This voice, Voiceless to what I really want and do not want

Travelling beyond my haunted ponderings

As the cogs within spin too fast

Warping this mind towards a realm of confusion

Awaiting to crash into the edge of my very own universal, well being

Slow down, slow down, and Dig deep within

No, there is no edge of my universe

In fact it keeps growing and growing and growing

No limits to what can be created

As these arms reach out towards beauty

Our words are not needed as long as our hearts sing, Sing away

I am finding myself through nature

A never ending quest begins

No matter what happens to her majestic essence

I know my mind can always remember the best of the past

As the future shall shine brighter than ever before

I love not being able to over explain myself

Not being judged for these so called turn offs of mine

But respected for who I am

Loved and accepted for the flaws

By the senses of a whole different essence

I seize this very star again

It has been there all along

Too powerful to ever be burnt out

It was there all along!

All is clear from here on out

Patience becomes a prism filled with epic golden glitter

Awaiting to teleport me,

Towards the vast luminous star I dream to be at one with

I am a passenger

To this journey of love

Dreaming of what shall soon come my way

With faith stronger than ever before

I look forward to the future of tomorrow’s brand new enlightenment

Yesterday is an afterthought, After all

Today I prep for a future of a full prospering self

Yet, I thank the past for making me who I am today

Without it I would have never been taught life’s lessons

Have I passed the major afflictions of my life?

We shall see, as life is a long lesson taught to us

So our souls shall forever be

My mind, my soul

Belong to me,

What about my heart?

We shall see, we shall indeed see

As I strive to give it wings

Flying like it has never flown before

It is safe for me to dream again, Oh, yes, it is indeed

Shine on, Shine on, There is another star for me to feel, See, To Seize
