Stars In The Sky Poem by Rachel BaByBeAr Anderson

Stars In The Sky

What is this light shining so brightly in the sky
What forces this wonderous sight to reveal itself to my eyes
I see it glowing brighter with every breath
As if this were its last, no more left
Tears roll as i watch this star's gaze
Its burning light going out in a blurry haze
With a crack that broke my own heart
Watching the lonely old star shatter apart
Darkness creeps and suffocates the sky
Stopping the tears and swallowing its cries
The sky opened itself to the spaces
As newly born stars began to take their places
It seems the old star was a mother giving birth
To the children who would forever look down on earth
It was then that i noticed a gold star watching me
Reminding me of a boy i could no longer see
And at last i began to sob
Listening to my very heart ache and throb
Maybe thats where we go when we die
To join our brother and sister angels
As stars in the sky
