Start Of A Beautiful Destiny Poem by Eugene Robbe Timson

Start Of A Beautiful Destiny

Rating: 3.5

She walks in beauty like the starry skies and countless hills
Taken away my breath, a mellow maniacal overcomes me, a laugh, a smile, a wink? What do I Do?
No she can’t see me! I must go and turn to face the wind she might find me impertinent
I need to shave first I look to scruffy, how’s my hair it may be too messy, my shirt has a stain…. DARN!
Why today of all days must you be here while I look this way?
Oh dear she looked at me, Smile, just smile and wave.
Words I need words……. My mind drawing a blank like a slate washed clean.
Hi I am…… Swallowing deeply…..Lost for words, forgive me I, I mean not to impose, but…… would you like to walk with me, perhaps have a bite, I mean Dinner with me that is. Forgive the look I did not expect your presence here today, but I feel that this was meant to be, cheesy perhaps, but it just feels right.

She smiles and with a twinkle in her eye, she said “Perfect your nervousness is cute, I know of you I too have seen you here, and I for one know you clean up quite well. I would love to have Dinner.”
