Starting Again Poem by Randy McClave

Starting Again

Don't ever be afraid to start again
Because, now you know where you have been,
You'll remember that old road that you had started
And from it, where you had mistakenly parted.
You'll still remember the stumps and the rocks
And the worn spirits, and the torn socks,
And the wrong paths that you had taken
Now from the detour sign you won't be mistaken.
This time you won't be starting alone from scratch
Wrong thoughts or ideals now won't hatch,
Now you won't stumble or get confused with weariness
Because now, you will have help and experience.
