Starving Soul Poem by Richard Wlodarski

Starving Soul

When I wake
In darkness
Of daylight
Begging now
For sunshine
Crying rain
Pouring down
When I hear
The day's deafness
Solely robbed
Of the song
Nightingale
When I taste
Bitterness
And sweetness
Escapes me
When I touch
The roughness
Of nightmare
And dream lonely
I will cry
My sole self
To sound sleep
And now start
Once again
