State Of Motion Poem by Eve Wilson

State Of Motion

Rating: 5.0

Everything is running in a perpetual state of motion
That's the only thing you can count on in this life
Despite what we may think, our tagline or our notion
This life is full of conflict and strife

Just as the storm ends, the sun must too
The day must fade; the night will come
The old must die, replaced by new
New rhythms will begin, beating like a drum

Will we run with it?
Or shall we be lost in the dust?
Fight or flight, succeed or quit
Turn into diamond or turn into rust

The choice is ours, it always has been
We hold the capabilities to become all
Will we fall or will we win?

Everything is in a perpetual state of motion
This world is full of conflict and strife
Despite what we may think, our tagline or our notion
This world is also full of potential and life
