Statues Are Already Dead Poem by Hebert Logerie

Statues Are Already Dead

Statues have no lives
Statues are already dead
A statue doesn't need a bed
These days, racism thrives
This is shameful and despicable
Things are tough and unstable
Down with the racist statues
Paint them with rust and mildews
Statues belong in museum
Statues belong in the coliseum
Statues are not alive
Statues cannot be revived
Statues that stand for hate and hatred
Are grotesque, obsolete, and dead.
