Steeped In Dark History Poem by Marilyn Lott

Steeped In Dark History

Steeped in dark history
A robber’s cave within
But you’d never know it
Now there’s beauty not sin

‘Cause autumn brings out
The charms of the park
The colors are incredible
But the interest does spark

For long ago robbers
Would hide in these hills
Fording the rivers
It gives me such chills

But now it’s for pleasure
A beauty to behold
Come join us as we picnic
Remembering stories once told!
