Stella By Moonglow Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Stella By Moonglow

'Neath beautiful starlight, not long ago
Stella greeted her wonderful beau...
A married man wth a young family
But how was innocent Stella to know?

Obsessed was she every night and day
Living her new life of ecstasy.
He vowed to Stella his undying love,
And Stella promised sincerity..

No teenager was he ~ or man of the world,
Just a handsome 'thirty-year-old',
And to a Spanish resort they travelled
Twas then of his family, Stella was told.

Broken-hearted ~ love was no more.
From romance, she had to be free.
Dreams had banished, lost was her heart,
But she honoured her virginity.

Clouds were grey, and lonesome her way
No other kind Romeo could she see...
And pure as a dove, but slightly in love
Stella by Moonglow, ever crying will be.
