Still Poem by Cooper Gilliland

Still

Whisper Secrets- morbidly-
Believe you tell them true
The Lies were never yours to tell-
And yet you tell them still

Like little bits of Gossip-
That buzz and worm their way
In your mind- and out your mouth-
And always never kind

So still your lips-
Still your mind
Forget the Secrets and the Lies
When simple Truth suffices
