Still A Casualty Poem by Missau Missau

Still A Casualty

But i never fought you dear brother, i had nothing to do with the war
I never started it dear sister, i wasn't born during your war
Mother you stare at me with those eyes, with them your children mock me;
An inheritence of my countrys ugly past
From it we have emerged wounded, scared by a nations stupidity
By a countries selfish greed; a cankerous cancer tearing us apart from within;
Destroying the foundations of a fragile unity
Yes! We still remain casualties, casualties of a senseless war
