I bear witness to a life once thrived
And the calming seas now sand dried
Beneath my toes the shoring allure
of histories passed, the withering prints
warmness everlasting, the touch of fingertips
For I witness the life once thrived
and the memories instilled in heads held high
and the rays of a skylit night
touched by the coming of wind
whistling through my ear
whispering tunes; a chorus so simplified
Yet this nighttime charade we partake
Brings us to the confines of a floral cascade
Something yearned out of a romantics dream
Exuberating love, stitched at the seam
Warmness everlasting, the touch of fingertips
I bear witness to a life once thrived
And the calming seas now sand dried
Beneath my toes the shoring allure
Hand in hand, a new life begins with you
Forevermore
