Stolen By You Poem by Ida Kopsch

Stolen By You

Rating: 5.0

Awaited holiday, a late summer night
Waiting for an early tomorrow flight
Then I laid eyes on you in the hotel bar
Oh, it all felt so bizarre

My play of mind, not to my lover fair
But as you opened your mouth I went out of air
A biography not adding up with lying
Yet asked about a relationship I found myself denying

Sun rays shortly caressing the horizon
Compared, you were all the more wizen
Time flew by, night turned to day
This I refused to let slip away

Departing to separate islands in Greece
Stolen by you, struggling to put another's heart at ease
What was I to do, a nightmarish week
Thoughts clouded by you, I was too weak
