Stories My Mother Told Me Poem by vince gullaci

Stories My Mother Told Me

Did I know
the ladies
cocooned the worm
between their breasts
for so many days
keeping the little blighter warm
and as the caterpillar
grew big and strong
it was placed
in a box
with Mulberry leaves
where it spun its magic
and silk was born.
