Storm Poem by Alesia Leach

Storm

Today I watched
as daylight faded to night.
A fierce wind began to blow
the trees wavered in its might.

Dark storm clouds hovered
blanketing out the stars and moon.
The thunder crashed
rattling out its roaring tune.

Bolts of lightning streaked the sky
illuminating the torrent of rain.
I wondered when the storm might pass
but it rumbled on again and again.

The words are so powerful and the impact is so profound that the reader virtually feels the ferocity of a real storm. This is now a favourite poem.

Fantastic depiction about storm. My favourite lines are ..... Bolts of lightning streaked the sky illuminating the torrent of rain. I wondered when the storm might pass but it rumbled on again and again. Thanks for sharing madam. ....... 10
