Straight Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Straight

Straight

A friend sent message,
Thought to call in return,
And tell him all about
The carving in my heart
From his mentioned time.

A truck carried guests
Of our shah to attend
The Persia of Cyrus,
Celebrate the mankind.

All the guests were Arabs
Of near, far neighbours…

My friend, pro Shah
Is against the mullahs
And opposes Arabs
For having had Islam.

I, sure, am different
Though in parts we are same.

I see our neighbours as
Sisters and brothers
Of Iran, Persia...

I oppose way of shah
And resist the Mullahs.

I delay in judgement,
Make myself, example
And ask me the question:
"So, are you the perfect? "

Firm when called friend:
"Be honest, straight."

Joyfully celebrate
My power and vision:
"Is no sin to confess,
Is no shame to accept."

Turned key with proverb:
"To enter in the den,
Straighten snakes…"

Let him talk about what
He had sent, with pride:
"Better are the Persians! "

Let him laugh and he did
Let him talk, and he did
And let him explain…

He talked of the picture
Story of the sheikhs
Of Arabs, like Kuwait's
With leader of Sudan,
King Hussein of Jordan,
And Assad, Syria's,
Including Saddam.

Western guests at same time,
Kings, Prime Ministers,
Were received and pampered.

This looks like "Disrespect? "
"Mimicking like monkey? "

Kept mouth tight
To avoid disregard…

"Our nation's problem,
Is, we are, all rotten,
Only way to success
Is correcting ourselves, "
I told him in detail.

Repeated proverb:
"To enter into den
Snakes straighten! "

"I agree with your way, "
Truly, hope he meant.

Beautiful poem my brother. Peace upon all of us. I believe all humans are the same. Our problems are due to ficticious religions...ALL religions are fiction and are just means for mind control. Belief and politics lead to war otherwise we are all the same. Lovely poem.
