Stranded In The Blind Poem by Sven Rhoads

Stranded In The Blind

No more grass grows where I have tread
Time is running out for me
Between the machines and the dead
All is but an open sea

I shall not fall upon the blade
This is not the world I made
Snake eyes and greedy minds
Left me stranded in the blind

Watching as the sand keeps falling
The hourglass, the enemy
Still I can hear my dreams calling
Through the bars of misery

I shall not swing by the rope
But I'm losing my grip on hope
Now I have nothing left to give
How do they expect one to live

Recycle the same problems from the past
The only thing that's made to last
How it hurts to my very soul
And how I just want to let go
No one sees the plight, no one hears the cry
Just because I breathe doesn't mean I'm alive
They cant get it through their minds
Cause I'm stranded in the blind

Line the pockets with the tears
Blood and sweat yet nothing's here

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
They want me to stay and feed their greed but I just want to leave and feel something worth it all
