Strange Poem by Vi Lanflagle

Strange

Rippling rainbows,
In pools of water on the ground.
Though above it snows,
Yellow cowboy boots sit all around?

Look closely in each pool,
Aquatic creatures, large and small, swimming in each one.
Walking along I pause and sit on a stool,
While staring at the sun?

How can this be?
Everything feels so actual.
But this must be a dream.
Nothing’s ever factual.

So how can it seem
That everything is real.
Is it just me?
What’s the deal?

Moving on pondering my thoughts,
I begin to notice a strange sensation.
Hey! I’m the one who calls the shots!
Now, here’s the train station.

So I must,
Say goodbye,
Though I’m covered in dust
Standing next to a fly?

I don’t get it?
What is this about?
The joke was just for Cricket.
But now I’m having doubts.

Some things are better left unsaid.
Much better left unspoken.
Especially when you’re sitting next to someone’s head.
Even if it did offer me a token.

I’m not quite sure what it is for,
But why should I ask?
Maybe just to confuse me more?
It did seem to be wearing a mask….

(Feb.8,2007)

(It had to rhyme plus i felt like writing about something other than my exes.. so that's why it is the way it is..lol)
