Strange Bedfellows Poem by Juan Olivarez

Strange Bedfellows

Rating: 5.0

Who cares what Romney did in school,
Or that Obama disdains, the golden rule?
he did this, and he did that,
One after the other, tit for tat.
Can't you curb your tongues, for just a bit,
Americans are about to throw a fit.
Romney is out there calling names,
And Barack abhors taking any blame.
So much like each other, they go hand in hand,
Whatever happened to real men.
So Everett Dirkson, and Ronnie are gone,
American politics, the final swan song.
