Strange Days Indeed - Poem by Vance Gilmore
If only I could find you.
What a strange life I live.
If I could only fix this broken dream,
But I don't know what to do.
I guess I really did want to hurt you
Now I'm caught in a web
And the spider is getting closer
My love is a lie
This is self destruction.
If only I could change
Sweep up the shattered glass
But no, I am doomed.
It's just a matter of time.
Oh my God! I'm the spider!
How could this be?
When did I become
My own worst enemy?
Oh yeah, that's right-
I've got a split personality.
Maybe I should try
Some poetic therapy.
Maybe later on I will,
But right now I'm getting sleepy.
I think I bit myself.
(The other me is really creepy..)
