Strength In His Steps Poem by April Humason

Strength In His Steps

Across the lands I walk His call,
Never alone though shadows fall.
Through wind and storm I press ahead,
Carrying light where feet are led.

"I can do all things through Christ, "
My strength, my hope, my sacrifice.
When trials rise, I will not bend,
I speak His truth until the end.

No fear can hold what faith has sealed,
His promises are my shield.
"I am with you, " whispers near,
His holy voice I always hear.

Through valleys low and mountains high,
His gentle hand forever nigh.
"Be strong, be bold, " His Spirit breathes,
And I walk forward, no retreat.

When darkness tries to steal my sight,
I rise beneath His perfect light.
Wrapped in grace, I find my place,
Held steady in His warm embrace.

His Word, my sword, my daily bread,
His wisdom where my soul is led.
"For God so loved this broken land, "
I rest secure within His hand.

No storm too wild, no road too steep,
No shadow deep where faith won't keep.
"This is the day the Lord has made, "
In joyful steps I'm unafraid.

Like those before who walked His way,
I lift His name with each new day.
"God is love, " forever true,
And through my life His light shines through.

Though pain may knock upon my door,
His strength in me is always more.
I sing this truth both loud and long:
Through Christ alone I am made strong.
