Strict Order Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Strict Order

Strict order

"No you go out of action"
For 15 days be in no action
I heard doctor saying with concern
Now it was to be my turn

My right eye was addressed
The left eye had also problem as was assessed
"Alright sir" I obeyed his instruction
Chose to be with the stage of inaction

It troubled me with isolation
I had developed good relation
It was food for thought
Now I was wrongly caught

"If you are remaining on computer for long time"
You will lose eye sight any time
I was afraid and so preferred dark room
Even though face was engulfed with gloom

I remained calm and quiet
With no thought of poet
No idea entertained in mind's chamber
I even took it as strict order
