Strongest Monster Poem by Michelle Versfeld

Strongest Monster

It consumes you
eats from the inside.
It casts you into sleep,
taking you on a wild ride.

It makes you forget.
Forget of all things right.
It makes you loose control
taking over your life.

Countless nights you've cried
countless hours you've waisted.
Please hold on to your life
though death itself you've tasted.

I know it's harder day by day
I know it makes you weak.
But I also know you're strong enouph
to keep from eternal sleep.

So go and search your heart
find the cause before it's too late.
Kill it before you are killed
for that beast will not wait.

It has taken you
in and out of flames.
But still you survived
although it played no games.

Stand up
before you loose all care.
Stand up
before it cuts off your air.

Now that beast you've slain
even though you were scared.
I told you you could do it
and I told you that I cared
