My radar detected,
you slowly caught my eye.
These doorways forever imprisoned me
after you looked away and walked right by.

We've had our share of arguments.
My head hangs in its noose.
Couldn't tear myself from these shadows.
I would try but what's the use?

My thoughts implied I had a chance
while I, unknowingly, sealed my lungs.
How could one kill with a simple glance?
I reached out and choked on the song you sung.

I itched my scabs uncontrollably
and watched as I slowly bled.
Too bad my love wasn't good enough.
Stuck in the past, our edges are rough.
I'm still trapped in those words you said.

So walk away, before you start sinking.
The sight of my eyes could be quite sickening.
Lifeless for good, I was hardly listening.
Love, I guess, was too much for asking.
Our love was neglected,
so death was selected.
