Stupidly In Love Poem by Randy McClave

Stupidly In Love

I remember when her and I first met
She said that she was tired of being used and regret,
She didn't believe to use or take advantage of anyone
And she would never sacrifice a love as a pawn.
She said she didn't believe in cheaters or in abusers
She couldn't ever tolerate liars or false accusers,
And those who used any type of illegal drugs
In her book they were all scum and thugs.
She believed everyone should work for a paycheck
And a house should always be clean and never a wreck,
Then she said there is no one that she is ashamed of
Then with her beliefs, I fell deeply in love.
She said whenever her love is at her side
Her soul will be enamored with both joy and pride,
And she proudly wants everyone in the world to know
That's she's in love with him deeply and so.
Those confessions she made to me every single day
Even at night before bed when she did pray,
She told me that she was so very happy that her and I was a pair
Then she said what we have and believe in, is so very rare.
I know that never again will I ever meet another woman like her
I now know for a fact that will never again occur,
Now whenever I think of her I now just give out sighs
Because stupidly, I fell in love with all of her lies.
