Suckered Poem by somebody else

Suckered

To believe it anymore is just absurd,
for too many times, this promise is heard.
'I'm running this race because I care.
I know the problems, and I'll repair.'
But things don't change it's always the same,
were still lied too, just by a different name.
We cast with hope, when we make the choice,
but only soon to become, a forgotten voice.
Speaking their words, as if your friend,
hoping your every dime, they can spend.
So more and more taxes, the citizen pays,
as they smile, as their salaries raise.
Always does their greed abound,
so in their pockets, in our money found.
And if by luck, you can save some money,
they go and create, another sucker fee.
It's becoming too expensive, to live or die,
having to work non stop, just to get by.
But as the quote goes, 'once bitten twice shy, '
so how is it, we fall for the same old lie.
Oh..an honest politican, would be truly nice,
so before your next vote, please think twice! !
