Sucking On A Poison Poem by Alessandra Liverani

Sucking On A Poison

Rating: 4.0

Sucking on a poison
Calms me down no end
Sucking on a poison
Something on which I can depend
Sucking on a poison
Feels so safe to do
Sucking on a poison
Perverse, but oh so true
Sucking on a poison
If I didn't, my panic'd soar
Sucking on a poison
Exactly what I'm scared of, I'm not sure
Sucking on a poison
Does seem a little crazy
Sucking on a poison
How it started's a little hazy
Sucking on a poison
If I didn't, I'd go mad
Sucking on a poison
Please don't tell me that it's bad
Sucking on a poison
It'll be the death of me
But sucking on a poison
Can't ever see me being free
Sucking on a poison
Do it morning, noon and night
Sucking on a poison
Even though I know it isn't right
Sucking on a poison
Costs me money too
But sucking on a poison
Only way that I get through
Sucking on a poison
I consider it a reward
Sucking on a poison
Even do it when I'm bored
Sucking on a poison
Can you feel my pain?
Sucking on a poison
It's such a sad refrain

Poisoning myself with cigarettes is my favorite thing to do each day, as many times I can per day. Tar coated lungs, poison surging through my veins. Cigarettes, my body is yours.

Well, I hope the writing has helped you with the smoking problem. Too many people don't even try to quit so I give you lots of credit for trying. Good luck to you. I hope you are successful! I enjoyed this poem by the way. Keep writing...(It keeps your hands too busy to smoke!) :) Sincerely, Mary
