Suicide Poem by Austin Moore

Suicide

Too close too the edge, I say not close enough
As much as I wish it, this isn’t a bluff
I close my eyes and lighten my grip
Lean forward some more and let my feet slip
I pick up speed as I’m nearing the ground
As I fell I could feel my heart pound
I lose my sadness and forget what it meant
I let out a laugh as I hit the cement
