Surroundings - Poem by Austin Moore

Dead to the day is my idea of hope
Ever since I discovered how to elope
Its both sad and amusing
Knowing what I’m losing
I can control my anger, can’t control my sorrow
Just having the knowledge that there will be a tomorrow
This world isn’t real
At least that’s how I feel
It just can’t be,
If it is, its not for me
