Suicide Games Poem by Bamukunda Hillary

Suicide Games

Suicide Games
.
I looked at the suicide note
It was a do me not
Picked the photo album,
Looked at the reason,
Her self dressed in treason,
These old age accidents
With heart magnets
Her smile a total confusion.
I held my rope and poison in fusion
.
I moved out side
I took steps toward the manhole
It's where I could fit as a whole
My eyes would remain open to the world
My heart would be up for grabs for bypassers
My legs could not move further
It would bring an end to life's cronnies
.
I turned to the friendly tree
It had not changed all these years
Myself too was still intact
I still had a chance to live
In the discouraging world I would thrive
Since like others I was swimming through the same waters
I laughed at poison and stepped on it
I had power over it
I used the rope to tie the breaking tree branch
I wanted to give it more life
I filled the manhole with soil
I could no longer fit in
I conquered the world and myself.
