I have more summer friends which is true
More things I have they want to do,
They come over to go swimming and/ or boating
On the water they enjoy sailing and floating.
When I first met them, for me they never cared
At me they just ignored and stared,
Then I told them that I have a pool and also a boat
Then to me they have regularly called and wrote.
Every summer they're either on my boat or in my pool
Especially, when it's hot and they wanna get cool,
They're either at my house or at the marina
On my boat the, ‘St. Paulina'.
They also enjoy coming over for a barbecue
Ribs, chicken, burgers, dogs and even shrimp on a skew,
They are always constantly contacting me
Because, boating and swimming is always fun and free.
We talk we joke we have fun and we all laugh
They then thank me on their and their children's behalf,
Then they call or contact me the very next day
Asking when again can they come over and play.
They all truly are my very best friends
To which I believe no one ever pretends,
But, then when it's becoming cold and it's Fall
Not one of them ever does come over or call.
