Summer Rain Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Summer Rain

Summer rain

Yesterday
I drove in the rain;
A danger in summer!

Went westward
In front a Mazda.

Its colour and model
-the same as one I lost
- (to careless hit and run
-and police is useless,
-their plates are full of
-heavy gifts coming from,
-burglaries and murders!)

The car was covered with
-the green, same-shape-size
-beautiful fallen leaves…

Me, being a poet,
-crazy observant,
-had my eyes multiplied
-looked to sides and front.

Thin clothes of the girls
-wet, stuck on the curves,
-elderly crawling helplessly
-like donkeys in farm-mud.
-And some cars drove fast
-in ditch-ponds; splashed!

Remembered my time on
-the Sunset Boulevard.

Screen in centre
-film shown on cylinder
-audience sat around,
-a nuance; I was one! ! !

Leaves flew, went away
-I heard them complain.
