Summer Wedding
My city Delhi,
A city of 4 seasons,
Is once again
Undergoing a change of season…
The sun is getting warmer and warmer,
In preparation for the fast approaching summer…
The red carpet is already rolled out for the hot, eager
Bridegroom, bright and cheerful as ever…
Just look around you,
With the eyes of a poet,
With poetry in your soul
And heart brimming with love…
And you will realize,
Everything around you
Has a story to tell,
Of struggle, joy, sorrow, death, and rebirth…
New flower buds are appearing,
Ready to burst into big, colorful blossoms,
New leaves are opening and unfurling,
Like proud flags held aloft by triumphant warriors…
Yes, it's time for us to change too;
To flow with the tide
To start afresh,
With a new wardrobe, new ventures, in harmony with the tide…
Why? Because our city Delhi,
Where we live and breathe, a city of 4 seasons,
Is also once again
Undergoing a change of season…
