Summertime 2009 Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Summertime 2009

Forty words:

In Britain's historic motherland

We will watch and wait!

To greet those familiar faces of

Soldiers flying home in haste

From distant war-torn places...

Beloved ones shall be free

To wander over meadows green

And bathe in peaceful sea.
