Summertime (From, The River Sings On) Poem by Peter S. Quinn

Summertime (From, The River Sings On)

Summertime
Down the streets and lanes,
Birds are singing
Through the prairies and planes.
Good times back bringing,
Now the winter is gone
And frosty snow and ice.
Bring back the sun
With bluish summer skies,
Breath of spring is divine -
That sweet breezing melody,
Smoothly to realign
Carefree life and easy.
There's nothing to worry about,
Only the morning new;
When night and dark fades out,
For joyful things to do.
