Sun Kisses Poem by Ibn Ali

Sun Kisses

Daughters of the sun
Kissed by rays
Raised by sons
Tamed by none
Fierce and forged in fire
But love enough to charge at cost
And I'd pay every dime
Silver, bronze, diamonds, love
Precious stones and shiny stuffs
Or a life affirming soul to bond
Pick your price
Charcoal girl, star lit teeth
Pressured till she crystallised
A frown to guard, a smile to breach
Dark skin is not devoid of light
It consumes it whole
Youthful poise filled with deceit
Absorbs the heat and spews it cold
Charcoal girl, star lit teeth
Her smile ejects her soul.
