Sunflower Poem by Edwina Reizer

Sunflower

Sunflower springing forth
from the ground
Lift your face when the sun's around.
Rise up tall
and stand up proud.
Do not cower
because a cloud
has covered up the sun.
Lift your petals
as if to say
'I praise the sun
that's come my way.'
