Sunlight On The Horizon

I am in darkness

I can just see a tiny sliver of sunlight on the horizon

I know it is the dawning of a new day

Marking an end to long suffered sadness

and marking the beginning of a new chapter

Change occurs not when you wish it to

But unexpectedly
