Sunny Day Poem by Jackie Chou

Sunny Day

Rating: 5.0

I am the sun, when you're parched
and long for the rain

I'm the rays that scorch you
like knives cutting through your skin

I am flowers that bloom
when you're hungry
and have no use for me

I am the sunny day you hate
when you miss the dark, cold days
of winter

I am light and warmth
when you miss shivering in the wind
