Sunrise At Dawn Poem by Dakota Ellerton

Sunrise At Dawn

What would you do,
for a beautiful smile?
I'd rise before the sun,
just to catch a glimpse.
I'd stay up late to,
to enjoy it longer.
What would you do,
for the girl your with?
Would you rush to her for comfort,
wrap her in your arms as she wept?
I would.
I'd show up on her doorstep with a flower,
just to make her day.
I'd sing from down the road,
a song I know she'd giggle at.
I'd introduce her to my friends,
to let her know she's important.
I'd make her a something special,
to tell her how I feel.
Yes, there's many thing's I do,
for the girl I'm with.
